The Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council was held on Saturday 6th July 2024 in Ganesh Daivajna Auditorium. It was also the inauguration of 5 committees: with Ms MaryAnne D’souza teacher in charge of Student Council, Mrs Dawn Ferrao teacher in charge of Cultural Union, Mrs Shantadurga Talekar teacher in charge of NSS, Mrs Nalini Palyekar teacher in charge of Red Ribbon Club, and Mr Diwakar Komarpant sir in charge of Gymkhana.
The Principal Mrs Cintia Abranches warmly welcomed everyone present. 34 student-leaders then marched in behind Gymkhana Secretary Master Gatik Nagzarkar, Cultural Union Secretary Master Soham Raut, and General Secretary Master Shreyas Rane who proudly carried the Student Council flag. With live music in the background, Mrs Frida Fernandes sang the song ‘Stand up for the Champions’, while Mrs Soniya Kavlekar called upon the leaders who were recognised with badges and stood with their Class Guardians for division-wise photographs.
Ms MaryAnne D’souza administered the Oath, Mrs Dawn Ferrao read out a brief plan of activities of the 5 committees. Mr Durgesh Prabhu Gaonkar had introduced the Chief Guest Dr Mrs Maria Goretti Simoes, officiating Principal of Kare College of Law. She addressed the gathering and encouraged the young leaders to lead by example, to always support their batch-mates, and to keep the name of the institution soaring high. The function concluded with the General Secretary delivering the Vote of Thanks
